Lush green mountains in Malaysia

Mesmerizing Malaysia

Malaysia, a federal constitutional monarchy, is a country with breathtaking islands and landscapes and is considered to be the best amongst the top tourist attractions in Asia. From natural scenic beauty to adventurous activities to shopping, it has everything that can keep any traveler happy.

I considered myself lucky to witness this nature’s gift by exploring old jungles, isolated islands, and modern architectural structures.

Malacca – The Heritage City in Malaysia

I started my tour at Malacca City that oozes culture and history. This city attracts visitors for its UNESCO heritage site, food, architecture, and Jonker Night market. The Dutch Heritage Trail and Portuguese Settlement are undoubtedly an experience not to be missed!

The next day, I visited the Island of Langkawi.  I would rate this as one of the best destinations in Malaysia. I never felt like I am attending a crowded tourist island.  Then the expedition extended to terrific jungles, fantastic beaches, turtle spotting, and beautiful sightseeing.

After that, I witnessed Perhentian Island that offers fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving facilities. I loved the island mainly because of the easy-going atmosphere. Alongside the beaches, I enjoyed moderately luxurious resorts, cozy restaurants, and delicious food.

Beach Life

Enjoying the beaches for two days, I decided to cover Taman Negara – the oldest tropical rainforest in the world, and also the oldest park in Malaysia. It is very popular adventure ecotourism and destination in Malaysia. It attracts tourists from every part of the world due to its dense forests and swift-flowing rivers. The diversity of the national park is phenomenal, making it one of the world’s most precious & complex ecosystems.

Then, I headed towards Mount Kinabalu and its surrounding terrain. It is the home of breathtaking flora and fauna. A trained guide accompanied me at all times. The view from the top is utterly surreal, and it helped me fulfill one of the things on my bucket list.

I am a firm believer in the fact that humanity through its technology can never beat nature. The best magical experience I have ever had in my life is to walk amidst a Colony of Fireflies as they illuminate the night!

This made me feel very special which  I can’t be able to describe in words.

The Batu Caves in Selangor was my next destination. I visited the location and climbed up to the temple shrine and cave which is dedicated to the Hindu Lord. The interior of Batu Caves is a network of limestone caves. It is a site for cave exploration, rock climbing, and multiple species of cave animals and plants found here.

The Most Memorable Experience

The final destination was the cosmopolitan capital of Malaysia which is unarguably the most populous city in the entire country. I visited early in the morning to cover the Petronas Twin Towers, Malaysian King Residence, and Parliament.

From Kuala Lumpur, I headed home with lots of memories and an unforgettable experience. If you are planning to visit Malaysia, don’t give it a second thought! Just pack your bags and let your heart fill with joy.
